The Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of Greater Tampa Bay (SCWTCGTB) is dedicated to preserving and protecting the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier breed. We are committed to promoting responsible ownership, breeding, and training of purebred Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. Additionally, we uphold sportsmanship of the highest standard in competitive dog activities.

Are you passionate about Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers? Consider becoming a member of SCWTCGTB! As a member, you will join a community of like-minded individuals who share a profound commitment to the breed. Membership is open to all individuals who meet the following criteria:
– In good standing with the American Kennel Club
– Support the commitments and objectives of SCWTCGTB
– Subscribe to the Constitution & Bylaws and Code of Ethics of SCWTCGTB.
Code of Ethics
Before applying for membership, please carefully read our SCWTCGTB Code of Ethics. By becoming a member, you agree to adhere to these principles, which are essential to maintaining the integrity of the breed and the club.
Application Process
To apply for membership, applicants must:
- Thoroughly read and understand the SCWTCGTB Code of Ethics and be willing to abide by this code.
- Select the membership type that’s right for you (see below). Please note that Individual and Joint memberships require applicants to be sponsored by a SCWTCGTB member in good standing. Associate memberships are perfect for those who wish to enjoy all the benefits of membership except voting and holding elected office. Associate members need not be sponsored by a current club member.
- Complete the Membership Application form.
- DO NOT send dues with this application. Dues will be payable upon notice that membership has been accepted.

Membership Types and Prices
Individual and Joint Memberships
- Individual Annual Membership – $25
- Joint Annual Membership – $35

- Requires sponsorship* by a SCWTCGTB member in good standing who has been personally well acquainted with you for at least two (2) years prior to the application.
- Full voting membership reserved for individual(s) planning to attend most meetings of the club and be counted for quorum. (Board Members, Rescue, Co-Chairs, and people listed as a Breeder on our website must be voting members).
* Sponsors must be able to attest to your integrity, reliability, and good practices as a responsible dog owner or breeder.
Associate Membership
- Individual Associate Annual Membership – $25
- Joint Associate Annual Membership – $35

- 1 person, or 2 residing at the same address.
- Holds all the privileges of full membership except are non-voting members and cannot hold elected office.
- Associate members are not counted for quorum for voting purposes.
- If you rescue a Wheaten from our Rescue program, the remainder of the current year is free as an Associate member. A completed application still is required.
Next Steps
Upon receipt of your completed application, your form is reviewed for possible admittance to the Club. The process takes approximately 30 days.
Once your membership processing is complete, you will be notified by email.
Upon approval, the next step is to pay your annual dues, which can be done online using PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or by check.
