Ingredients
3 cups ground oats
1/2 cup almond flour
1 egg
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp coconut oil, melted and cooled
1/3-1/2 cup water
1 cup chopped fresh cranberries
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°. Line baking dish with parchment paper.
2. Grind oats in a food processor, or blender then measure the 2 1/2 cups.*
3. Combine oats and almond flour in a medium bowl. Whisk to combine
4. In a small mixing bowl, whisk egg with honey, coconut oil and 1/3 cup water.
5. Pour the wet ingredients over the oat mixture and stir with a sturdy spoon or spatula
6. Fold in the cranberries and work them into the dough. If the dough feels dry add a tablespoon or two of the water. The dough should hold together when you squeeze it in your hand.
7. Lightly flour the countertop and roll out the dough to 1/8 – 1/4 a inch thick sheet.
8. Use a cookie cutter to cut out the treats and place them on the prepared baking pan. Re-roll the dough and continue until you have used it all.
9. Bake for 22-25 minutes until golden brown. Let the treats cool before feeding them to your pups.
Notes:
*Treats can be stored in an air tight container for up to two weeks.
*Oats should be ground until they are almost a flour consistency.
*For EXTRA crunchy treats, increase the bake time to 30 minutes.
